Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy at the Broadgate Spine & Joint Clinic is led by Nicola Schie. The new gym enables our physiotherapists to carry out comprehensive training of both spinal problems and conditions involving the extremities (knees, shoulders, hips, etc.).


Nicola Schie - MSc (Sports Physio) BSc (Hons) Physio SRP MCSP

Nicola graduated as a physiotherapist from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, in 2000. After working in private practice for a few years, she gained her Masters Degree, specialising in Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy. Nicola has worked in a wide variety of clinical settings, and has experience in treating both professional and amateur athletes, as well as those who shy away from sport and exercise altogether! She specialises in the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of sports, orthopaedic, and musculoskeletal injuries (which incorporates back, neck and ante and post-natal complaints). Her rehabilitation focuses on movement analysis, timing, specific strengthening and improving precise stability and control. Nicola is a member of the Chartered society of Physiotherapists, the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists and Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine.

She is registered with all major health insurance companies.


 

André Bason MSc, BSc (Hons), MMACP, MSCP, SRP

 

André graduated in physiotherapy from the University of Malta in 2001. He has gained a Masters degree in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from University College London (UCL), specializing in manual and exercise therapy. André is a state registered physiotherapist who has worked in private practice since 2001 and has experience in treating people from all walks of life, including professional and amateur athletes. He has a special interest in the assessment and treatment of neck and back pain. He also has interest in post-surgical rehabilitation such as ACL repair, knee and shoulder arthroscopy. André uses manual therapy, acupuncture and also incorporates the Pilates concept both in the treatment and prevention of injuries.

André is a member of the Health Professional Council (HPC), Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP) and Manipulative Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.
