Broadgate spine & joint clinic news

by Alan Jordan

The BSJC physiotherapy department contributes to our multi-disciplinary team and forms an important part in the management of patient conditions. The role of the physiotherapist is not only to conservatively treat neuro-musculoskeletal conditions but also to liaise with our GP practice and various consultants. Quite often, the physiotherapist is the first line of treatment as patients may come directly referred by their medical insurance or self referred. A thorough assessment is performed on the initial consultation and our experienced physiotherapists explain the diagnosis and formulate a plan with their patients. This may be to continue with physiotherapy, liaise with the GP for some medication to aid conservative treatment or further investigations through the appropriate consultant. At any point of the management of the condition both the patient and the physiotherapist may decide to re-eveluate the initial plan should the predicted evolvement of the condition is not being fulfilled. We thrive to find a solution to help you as quickly as possible and with our vast network of practitioners (both in-house and within the city) we can appropriately advice and treat your condition in a friendly environment.

The members of our physiotherapy team are all highly skilled practitioners with more than a decade of experience each and postgraduate qualifications. They can all treat and manage all neuro-musculoskeletal conditions but each have their area of expertise.
